Lustrous non metal |
|
Answer» It can be Diamond also Metals are lustrous because of the free electrons they have. The free electrons can move freely in the metal causing any light incident on them to get reflected back. This reflection is specular reflection rather than diffused and thus the metal surface appears shiny or lustrous .......... Nd I think its because going down the group the size of the atom increases because of shielding effect due to which the ineraction between the atom and the outermost electron decreases so these electrons on the surface of iodine become excited by absorbing heat energy from light so when they release this energy and come ...
