The following are some of the ways firefighters use to combat fire;
1)They use chemical retardants to put out fires,depending on the types of fire & where it is located i.e fire extinguishers which contain chemical retardants.
2)They ALSO cut fire lines to create fire breaks & this form is usually applied in the forest fires.
3)They also use air SUPPORT to PREVENT extensive damage of forest fires.
