The distance covered by the car in t sec =S1 = 10xt+1/2x0.5xt^2 m The distance covered by the bus in t sec =S2 = 2t m By the problem S1-S2 = 400+25+10+10 => 1/4t^2+10t-2t=445 => t^2+32t-1780=0 =>( t+16)^2=1780+16^2 => t = 45,1-16=29.1 sec |
