The Noise pollution ( Regulation and Control ) Rules, 2000 specifies ambient air qualify standard in respect of noise for DIFFERENT areas `//` zones( industrial , commercial , residential orsilence ares `//` zone ) . One can be penalized for violation in silence areas `//` zones for committing the following actions `:`
a. BLOWING a horn
b. Playing any music or using any sound amplifier.
c. Beating a drum or blowing a horn or trumpet or playing any instrument.
d. Exhibiting to attract mimetic , MUSICAL or otherperformance to attract crowds.
ii. The Government of India published Biomedical Waste ( MANAGEMENT and Handling) Rules on July27,1998 . The salient features of the Biomedical Waste Rules are as follows `:`
a. These rules deal with the generation, handling , treatment and disposal of biomedical waste.
b. These rules apply to all persons who generate ,collect , receive , STORE, transport,treat, disposeor handle biomedical waste in any form.ltbr. c. It is the duty of the occupant to take all steps to ensure that such waste is handled without any adverse effect to human health and environment.
d. These rules specify biomedical waste management procedures.
iii. The E-waste rules are applicable to all procers and consumersof electrical and electronic goods to manage the E-waste generated.
