Here ∠ACB + ∠ACD = 180° (Linear pair of angles)

⇒ 5x + 7y = 180°

⇒ 12y = 180°

⇒ y = 15°

Also x + 3y = 7y (Exterior angle property)

⇒ x = 4y

x = 4 x 15°

⇒ x = 60°
