Solution:

Here,

  • No. of students passed in English = 50 students.

  • No. of students passed in Mathematics = 60 students.

  • No. of students passed in both the subjects = 40 students.

★ Total No. of students who passed in English & Mathematics:

= No. of students passed in English + No. of students passed in Mathematics

= 50 + 60

= 110 Students.

★ Students passed at least in one of subject:

= No. of students passed in English & Mathematics - No. of students who passed in both the subjects

= 110 - 40

= 70 Students.

Thus,

  • The no. of students who passed at least in one of subjects are 70.
