1.

If sin A = cos A, then find the value of A.

Answer»

If sin A = cos A

\(\frac{sin\,A}{cos\,A}=\frac{cos\,A}{cos\,A}\)= 1

⇒ tan A = 1 = tan 45°

⇒ A = 45°

(OR)

sin 45° = cos 45°

\(\frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}\) = \(\frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}\)

So, A = 45°
