Values of x and y

Common Difference would be the same

Now,

18 - y = y - x

》 x - 2y = - 18.............(1)

Also

y - x = x - 3

》 2x - y = - 3............(2)

Multiplying EQUATION (2) by 2,

》 4x - 2y = - 6...........(3)

SUBTRACTING equations (1) and (3),

》3x = 24

》 x = 8

Putting x = - 8 in (1),

》 2y = 26

》 y = 13

The sequence would be 3,8,13 and 18
