Let the areas be 2x and 3x.So, 2x=1/2×base×height.Height is same in both cases, so let it be h.So, 2x=1/2×6×hTherefore x=3h/23x=1/2×b×hPutting value of x,3×3h/2=bh/2h/2 gets cancelled,3×3=b=>b=9

Base of the bigger triangle is 9. It cam be done simply by comparing the ratios, but i elaborated for understanding.
