Out of 23 pairs of chromosomes present, 22 pairs of chromosomes are exactly same in both males and females, are called AUTOSOMES. In the pair of x-chromosomes are always present in the female, and the presence of an an X and Y chromosomes are determinant of male features . During spermatogenesis between males, there are two types of GAMETES are produced. Out of 100 PERCENT the 50 percentage of total sperm produced which carry the x-chromosomes and the left 50 percent has Y-chromosomes besides the autosomes. But female produced only one type of ovum with an x-chromosomes.
