Answer» The raindrops in the atmosphere act like many small prisms. As white sunlight enters and leaves these raindrops, the various coloured rays present in white light are refracted by different amounts. This spectrum undergoes total internal reflection within the raindrops and finally reflected out of the raindrops. This spectrum produced by the raindrop in the atmosphere forms rainbow. By scattering of light rays.the rays from sun pass through water droplet where water droplet acts like a prism and the side opposite to sun the rain bow with 7 colors is formed Scattering Due to sattering of light by water droplets When sun rays passes through the tiny water drop, then sun rays divided in seven colour . this division of colours is known as spectrum Rainbow ? is formed due to scattering of light in the atmosphere..!!
