How is mechanical advantage related to the velocity ratio for (i) ideal machine (ii) a practical machine. |
|
Answer» For an Ideal machine, there is no loss of energy in any manner. (ii) Velocity Ratio > MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE (MA) as efficiency is less than ONE. For a practical machine, output work is ALWAYS less than input work as due to some loss of input energy against FRICTION. |
