How height became 3 in two parallel sides of an isosceles trapezium are 6cm and 14 cm.lf the length of non parallel side is 5cm. |
|
Answer» Soultion : Given that paralle sides are 6 cm and 14cm . And non PARALLEL sides 5cm. If we drop perpendicular from SMALLER on larger side from end points . We get the larger side divided in 3 portion of length 4,6,4 . so now if we take right triangle with BASE 4CM and hypotenuse 5cm and apply pythagoras theorem , we get H = √(5²-4²) ⇒ H = √(25-16) ⇒ H = √9 ∴ H = 3 . Hope this HELP you . For doubt or confusion comment below. |
