How evoluation and classification are inter linked |
|
Answer» Classification menas grouping of an organisms on the bases of particular characteristics. If an organisms have 2 or more chraracteristics in common they are more closely realated and if they are more closely related then they have a common ancestor. Consider the following eg. A girl and her brother is closely related because they have a common ancestor in the first generation namely their parents. A girl and her brother are also closely related because they also have a common ancestor in the second generation namely their grandparents but less closely related than her a girl and her real brother. Evolution menas a slow and gradual change which are brought about in living organisms with the passage of time when change from simple to more complex forms. The above discussion clearly proves that evolution and classification are interlinked with each other which is similar like creating an evolutionary tree.
