1.

How does the atmospheric pressure values at the sea level help us in finding the approaching storm?

Answer»

Standard sea level pressure is equal to 760mm of mercury.

Higher air pressure gives lower sea levels an increase in  air pressure of 1hpa lower and the water level by 1 cm. So high pressure over a sea area corresponds to low sea level and conversely low air pressure results in higher sea levels.
