Answer» In simple distillation we seprate water and substance by BOILING and CONDENSATION process .while In fraction distillationwith the heat petroleum vapour rise inside the fraction columns and cool down and condense at the different HEIGHTS and get collected in the CORRESPONDING trays. The condensed liquid is draw off at different levels in various columns. This entire process is known as fraction distillation.
