Answer» When high amount of electricity is supplied to an equipment, then it can blast. This high amount of electricity may be supplied by technical failure. To prevent this, a wire is dug inside the earth by which high amount of electricity will be absorbed by earth as earth can absorb infinite number of electrons in it. This process is known as earthing.
