How does Basavanna express his devotion to Lord Shiva? |

Answer» This line is taken from the poem’The temple and the body’ by Basavanna. The poet sadly says that the rich can afferd to build temples for Lord Shiva.But the poet being a poor man can’t. But the poet compares his body to a shrine, his legs the pillars and his head is the cupola of the shrine. The poet means to convey that he does not seek God in temples but he has made his entire body into a shrine of Lord Shiva. |
