How do Darwin’s finches illustrate adaptive radiation? |
|
Answer» Darwin finches are varieties of small black birds found in the Galapagos islands. They all must have evolved in the island itself. From the original seed eating birds, many other forms evolved, with altered beak enabling them to become insectivorous and vulgarian habits. This process of evolution of different species in the same geographical area starting with one spices and radiated to other areas is called adaptive radiation. |
