| Answer» The stern of the Wavewalker met a gigantic wave with a fearful breaking crest. A tremendous explosion took place and water surged into the ship, the narrator\'s head smashed into the wheel. He was thrown overboard and began to sink below the waves. Death seemed to be calling him as he watched the boat near capsizing, her masts almost horizontal. Then a wave hurled her upright, his lifeline jerked into tautness and he began to be whirled around by the waves like a rag doll. Somehow he found his way back to the wheel, lined up the stern for the next wave and hung on for dear life. | |
