Answer» a electromagnet one can use steel or iron as a core. The making of electromagnet needs following material, the source for current, battery, metals wire with no insulation and hand gloves. MAKE a loop. Like a SOLENOID, wrap the soft steel core or iron and Connect its terminal it and the core INSIDE now behaves like a MAGNET and can attract the magnetic materials. ☺☺☺
