How are the following organs or structures protected in our body: (i) Spinal cord (ii) Brain? |

Answer» (i) Spinal cord is protected with the help of the vertebral column. (ii) Brain is protected due to presence of a bony cavity which we call as skull in which brain is placed. This bony cavity is filled with a fluid which absorbs the shock and thus prevents the damage that may be caused to brain. |
