Answer» OPTION (d) is irrational. now lemme tell you what are irrational and RATIONAL numbers and how to identity them. rational numbers are those numbers which can be represented in the form of p/Q where q ≠ 0 and p and q must be integer. whereas irrational numbers can't be represented in the form of p/q terminating, non-terminating recurring numbers can be represented in the form of p/q so they're considered as rational numbers. but non-terminating non-recurring can't be represented in the form of p/q so they're considered irrational. here, option (a) is terminating. option (b) and (c) are non-terminating recurring. hence they're rational. but only option (d) is non-terminating non-recurring. so it's the right option. |
