Answer» Active Voice REFERS to a sentence in which the SUBJECT is PERFORMING the action. Passive Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject undergoes the action. In other words, it is writing the sentence in reverse order. Example: She is painting a picture. (Active) A picture is being painted by her. (Passive) NOTE: Sentences that convey habitual actions cannot be CHANGED to passive mode. Great MEN accomplish great things. (Active) Great things are accomplished by great men. (Passive) |
