Let us say the r1 is the radii of FIRST circle

and r2 is the radii of SECOND circle

So, r1:r2=3:4

And for area we have a1,a2 be the area of circle1 and circle2 respectively

So the RATIO will be a1:a2=π(r1)2:π(r2)2

π will cancel out and ratio will be

a1:a2=(3)2:(4)2

a1:a2=9:16
