Answer» Because silver reacts with sulphir to form silver sulphide Silver does not react with oxygen in normal circumstances. It reacts with sulphur and sulphur compounds is the atmosphere. Check your NCERT textbook.? Because silver is a metal and when silver articles exposed in air it reacts with oxygen and form a black clotting on it |
