1.

For what value of k, (k^2 - 4) x^2 + 2x - 9 = 0 is not quadratic equation?

Answer»

DEAR student!

----------------

it wont be quadratic if the SQUARE of X becomes '0'

so FOLLOWING one basic step we will get that!

---------------------------------------------------------------

<klux>K</klux>^{2} -4=0\\=>k^{2} =4\\=>k= +-2\\\\

so the coefficient of 'k' is 0

ans: ±2

thanks!
