For what value of k ,(-4)is the Zero of polynomial x square - x -( 2 k + 2)

Answer»

hey mate

given polynomial

x²-x-2(2k+2)=0. ....(1)

if -4 is a zeroes of polynomial (1)

then,

x=-4, exist this polynomial

so,

put x=-4,

(-4)²-(-4)-(2k+2)=0

16 +. 4 -2k-2=0

2k=18

k=9.

thus:

value of k= 9

i hopes its HELPS u.
