1.

Find the side square whose diagonal is 9√2cm.

Answer» ONG>Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

ok so Here it goes

DIAGONAL of a square can be considered a the hypotenuse of 2 triangles in it

so we take any one of the two triangles and USE pythagoras theorem

let the side of square be x

By pythagoras theorem

side² + side² = Hypotenuse²

⇒ x² + x² = (9√2)²

⇒2x² =  81 ×2

⇒ x² = 81 ( reducing 2 from both sides)

⇒ x = √81

x = ±9

So the side of square = ±9

But

Length cannot be negative so

SIDE OF SQUARE = 9 cm
