Find the number of subsects

Answer»

If a set has 1 ELEMENT, then it has 2^1 = 2 SUBSETS, namely itself and the null set. If a set has 2 elements, then it has 2^2 = 4 subsets. If a set has 3 elements, then it has 2^3 = 8 subsets. In GENERAL, if a set has m elements then it has 2^m subsets.
