The resultant of two vectors P and Q is given by:- 

\(R^2 = P^2 + Q^2 + 2PQ\cos \theta\) 

By Using this formula, we get, 

R2 = 62 + 82 + 2(6)(8) cos240°

R2 = 36 + 64 + (2 × 48 × -1/2)

R2 = 100 - 48 = 52

R = 2√13

Hence, the magnitude of resultant of forces is 2√13 N.
