1.

Find the coordinates of two more points on the line joining (-1, 4) and (1, 2).

Answer»

Change in x is 2 and y is -2

When change in x be 1 then change in y = \(\frac{-2}{2}=-1\)

Let change in x be 1 then change in y will be 3.

Coordinate of y = 4 + 3 x – 1 = 1

Point (2, 1)

Let change in x be 3 then change in y will be 4.

∴ Coordinate of y = 4 + 4 x – 1 = 0

∴ Point (3, 0)

Two points are (2, 1), (3, 0)
