1.

Find the area of rhombus in which AB5 cm and AC8 cm.5 cm

Answer»

ABCD is the given rhombus.

Side AB = BC = CD = DA = 5cm

One diagonal AC = 8cm

In right ∆ABD, we have to calculate diagonal BD

Using pythagoras theorem,

BD^2 = AB^2 + AD^2 = (5)^2 + (5)^2 = 25+25BD = 25√2cm

area of rhombus = 1/2* (8)* (25√2) = 4*25√2 = 100√2 cm^2
