Find six rational number between - 1 and 0

Answer» HEY Mate!

To find a RATIONAL number, we will use formula

\frac{r + s}{2}  =  \\  \frac{ - 1 + <klux>0</klux>}{2}  =  \frac{ - 1}{2}

In, -1 and -1/2

\frac{ - 1 +  \frac{ - 1}{2} }{2}  =  \\  \frac{ - 3}{2}  \times  \frac{1}{2}  =  \frac{ - 3}{4}

In, -1 and -3/4 we have

( - 1 +  \frac{ - 3}{4} ) \div 2 \\  \frac{ - 7}{4}  \times  \frac{1}{2}  =  \frac{ - 7}{8}

In, -1 and -7/8

( - 1 +  \frac{ - 7}{8} ) \div 2 \\  \frac{ - 1 5}{8}  \times  \frac{1}{2}  =  \frac{ - 15}{16}

Now, in 1/2 and 0 we have

(\frac{ - 1}{2}  + 0) \div 2 \\  \frac{ - 1}{2}  \times  \frac{1}{2}  \\  =  \frac{ - 1}{4}

In, 1/4 and 0 we have

\frac{ - 1}{4}  \div 2 \\  \frac{ - 1}{8}

So, we have -1 < -15/16 < -7/8 < -3/4 < -1/2 < - 1/4 < -1/8 < 0

Hope it helps☺!✌
