Solution : –

Let, the FIRST number be x

then according to the QUESTION, the another number will be 5x .

Now,

\longrightarrow \: \sf{x + 5x = 24} \\ \\ \longrightarrow \: \sf{6x = 24} \\ \\ \longrightarrow \: \sf{x = \frac{24}{6} } \\ \\ \longrightarrow \: \underline{ \fbox{\sf{x = 4}}}
