Find a point on the x-axis,which is equidistant from the points (7,6) and (3,4). |
|
Answer» A point is (15/2,0) find by the distance formula Is it clear now??? U will not use mid point formula......u have to use distant formula....let all three points as P Q and R .as these two point are equidistant....so.....find distance of PQ and then QR and put them equal and solve u will get answer Yes i was wrong....now.....let me tell u correct one.....only last method was wrong.... I could be wrong.....i m not sure sorry??? The point which we need to find is on x axis which means y=0....okk???now let the coordinates be(x,0)...this point is eqidistant from those points so....u can use mid point formula i.e. x1 + x2 /2 = x so,.....7+3 /2=x so....x will be 5...... I don\'t know the answers plz ask from your teacher..... |
