= 0   +   10  + 0.7  + 0.04

= 10.74

0 × 10  + 10 ×  1  + 6/10  + x/100  = 10.74

⇒ 0 + 10 + 0.6  + x/100 = 10.74

⇒ 10.6  + x/100 = 10.74

⇒ x/100 = 10.74 - 10.6

⇒ x/100 = 0.14

⇒ x = 100 (0.14)

⇒ x  = 14
