Answer» In this line the poet wants to say that he has only nourished his child but there is no sign of love and understanding between them.All the thoughts and initial knowledge is given by father but now when the child is standing on his own feet,he has forgotten about his father.Both father and child feel awkward to share their problem with each other and this has resulted in growing tension between them.
