Explain why the menstrual cycle is called the proliferative phase |

Answer» Whole MENSTRUAL cycle is not called proliferative phase instead there's a phase or period ( like LUTEAL phase) in the whole menstrual cycle which is termed as the proliferative phase. so it is called that because during this phase the endometrium of uterus regenerates through proliferation which is INDUCED by the change in levels of pituitary GONADOTROPINS and ovarian hormones. |
