| Answer» A short circuit is simply a low resistance connection between the two conductors supplying electrical power to any circuit. This results in excessive current flow in the power source through the \'short,\' and may even cause the power source to be destroyed.Short circuiting : If there is a failure in insulation or some other means by which the two wires (phase and neutral) comes into electrical contact, the circuit gets shortened as the current always chooses the path which has got least resistance. | |
