Explain three direction of grainline.

a. Straight Grain line: For garments to be cut on straight grain, the grain line is drawn parallel to the centre front or back of the garment along the length of the piece. 

b. Crosswise Grain line: For garments to be cut on cross wise grain, the grain line is drawn at right angle to the centre front or back of the garment or across the garment width. 

c. Bias Grain line: For garments to be cut on the bias, grain line is drawn at an angle of 45o to the centre front or back of the garment.
