1.

Explain the process of nicking and re-annealing??

Answer» NG enzyme (or nickingendonuclease) is an enzyme that cuts ONE strand of a double-stranded DNA at a specific recognition nucleotide sequences known as a restriction SITE. Such enzymes hydrolyse (cut) only one strand of the DNA duplex, to produce DNA molecules that are “nicked”, rather than cleaved.Annealing is a heat treatment process which alters the microstructure of a material to change its mechanical or electrical properties. Typically, in steels, annealing is used to reduce hardness, INCREASE ductility and help eliminate INTERNAL stresses.
