It studies all the social, legal, political, religious and economic relations of human life. Contribution of Sociology to Political Science can be studied under the following points: 1. Basis of Political Science: Study of Sociology is very wide. It studies all the social relations of man. Political Science studies the structure of state which is basically a part of social structure. Social institutions existed even before the state. So, knowledge of state and political development can be obtained through the knowledge of social development. 2. Help in study of Political Science: Sociology helps a lot in study of Political Science in understanding the origin, development and organization of the state. Such is the effect of Sociology that study of political behaviour is being emphasized in Political Science instead of political institutions. |
