We know that the sum of all angles of a triangle is 180o.

Therefore, for △DBC, we have

30o + 50o + ∠DBC = 180o

∠DBC = 100o

From the figure we can say that

x + ∠DBC = 180o is a Linear pair

x = 80o

From the exterior angle property we have

y = 30o + 80o = 110o
