Answer» In the last line of the poem, “The Laburnum Top”, a poem by Edward James, the poet is portraying the unexpected silence which comes on the laburnum tree when a small singing bird, with yellow feathers on the wings, called “Goldfinch” left the tree and flies away after feeding its young ones.
