Explain induced potentialdifference(orelectromotiveforce) andinduced electriccurrent . On whatfactordoesinduced potential differnce (or electromotiveforce) depend ? |

Answer» Solution :Becauseof the rate of changeof numberof magnetic fieldlines linkedwiththe loop duringthe relativemotionof a magnet and loop or dueto a changing currentin a nearbyconductoran ELECTRIC potenital differenceis induced in the coil . It is called induced POTENTIAL difference ( orelectromotiveforce). Due to this electric current . Theelectromotivefroceinduced in a loop is proportionalto therate of changeof numberof magneticfieldlines associated withthe loop and the number ofturns of a loop . Important NOTES: (1) Induced currentis (i) proportionlto induced electromotiveforce and (ii) inverselyproportional to teh resistancein the CIRCUIT . (2) If the circuit is open , there can beinducedelectromotive forcebut there is no current . |
