1. A material which is easily decomposed by natural process is called bio degradable, 

eg : Peels of fruits, papers, wood, cotton bags, etc. 

2. A material which is not decomposed by natural process is called non-bio degradable, 

eg: Plastic 

3. Impact on environment: Slow decomposition causes environmental pollution. The burning process of synthetic materials is also pollute the environment. This pollution causes health problems to the living things.
