(iii) Villagers were called upon to supply soldiers and the forced recruitment in rural areas caused widespread anger. 1 . Increse custom duty and introduced income tax. 2. It led food shortage. 6.Due to enfluenza epidemic in 1921 approx 13 million people died. 1.
