Draw a rhombus of sides 7 cm and one angle 65° ; then draw a right triangle of the same Area? |
|
Answer» There are many right triangles that have an area of 182–√cm2 . A rhombus is a special parallelogram, so I used the formula for the area of a parallelogram ( A=bh ). When the height of this rhombus is drawn a 30–60–90 right TRIANGLE is FORMED therefore the short LEG and LONG leg (height) can be found. The area of a triangle is A=12bh since this is a right triangle the legs can be used as the base (b) and the height (h). |
