Answer» Solution :No. Dispersion occurs when INCIDENT light is REFRACTED by the glass of the prism which is a denser medium compared to air. A hollow prism is be filled with air and hence there is no denser medium, where refraction can OCCUR. Hence, no dispersion SHALL occur. If the hollow prism is filled with a proper denser medium, dispersion becomes possible.
